What’s your funniest dog Halloween story or dog costume?
Here’s a story that still makes me chuckle.
We own a red Doberman girl, named Dory, who was a rescue. She adores children AND treats so Halloween is the best, twofer, night ever in her book! Every time the doorbell rings she greets the kids, sniffs their goodies and then gets a treat when they leave. Like I said...a really great night for Dory!
One year I told the Trick and Treaters, who came to my door, that Dory was a poodle dressed up as a Doberman. Most of the kids would look at her, then quickly get back to the business of choosing their tasty treats, say their "thank you’s" and scurry on to the next house.
Except for one young girl, who was about 10 years old. She looked at Dory, rolled her eyes and with great authority and pronounced, “No! That’s a Doberman!”
